A privately owned care home in one of Hereford's oldest residential areas, Wykenhurst comprises of  three adjoining Victorian properties each property retaining many of their original Victorian features.

Our most recent aquisition Lynwood Villa has five en suite rooms and is aimed more at independent living.

Established in 1985 by two sisters Judith Jones and Lyn Rushgrove. Judith a registered mental health nurse is the care director providing Wykenhurst with a wealth of mental health experience spanning over 30 years. Lyn is the business director who is also the responsible person, she has many years of age care nursing experience. Lyn and Judith are still actively involved in the business and Wykenhurst remains a family run home.

Wykenhurst is an unusual care home as it provides residential care and support for adults aged 45 upwards, specialising in mental health needs. 

There are many local amenities including: a corner shop, a  major supermarket, a pub, a hair salon,  a postbox and church all within a very short walking distance.

There is also a bus stop at the end of the road with a direct bus service into the city centre every 20 mins.
